Libreria Soppalco

A full-height bookcase, with a round reading niche and a mezzanine reached by a staircase.

Concept

A bookcase to live in.

The bookcase fills the whole wall and rises to the mezzanine. At its centre, a round niche padded in coral velvet becomes the place to read; low shelves hold the youngest children’s books, high ones the volumes to keep safe. The side staircase, with round cut-outs as handholds, leads to the mezzanine enclosed by a net.
